Liquor Regulation Changes Proposed

According to a press release from the Michigan Brewers Guild, small brewers are “mobilizing support for recommendations released by the Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA) Friday, June 29 for updating the state’s liquor regulatory rules and regulations.”
The Liquor Control Advisory Rules Committee developed the recommendations. The major proposed changes are summarized as follows:
Make regulatory rules for small breweries equal to those for small wineries
Create Franchise Law Exemption for small breweries
Develop a single brewery license
